Prenuptial Agreement

Prenuptial Agreements: What are they and why do you need one?

PrenuptialAgreement

A prenuptial agreement is a written contract created by two people before they are married. A “prenup” typically lists all of the property each person owns (as well as any debts) and specifies what each person’s property rights will be after the marriage.

Prenuptial Agreements are not for the ultra-wealthy.  Why do you need one?  There could be several reasons!  For example you could be protecting the inheritance of property for children from another marriage, it will clarify possession if in the event of a divorce and it could give you protection from debts incurred prior to your union.  This list could go on!
